Не для меня

I am working on a pretty complicated vector art commission for my friend. It's still in progress and it will take a while i guess, so i thought i will put sth in the meantime.
Browsing through my photo albums i have come across a photo that i made last summer on the Cracow manin square. This cossack literally had a story written all over his face. Ok. I'll better be going to bed.Got cramped muscles in my palm because of holding tablet pen for hours :D

Endless Play

First but probably not the last of a kind. About 3,5 hrs in PS:CS3 I am quite satisfied with the final effect. It could be better though. Have to work on my attitude towards redoing things from scratch.;/

Absinthe-take one.

Before you will read please look at the time of me publishing this post.

Insomniacs usually do bullshit to pre-occupy their long sleepless night hours. My bullshit flourished with this:

To be honest i am not completely sure that the sentence in french at the bottom is correct. I'll probably find out in a few hours, when the other insomniac living in my flat will decide to get up and study :D

***EDIT***

The sentence in french is correct. Here's a version with a fancy victorian-like frame:

The case is not closed yet so stay tuned.

Rastafarian Relentless spoof (well, sort of)

Since i am lying home sick i thought i might kill some time with PS. I feel guilty not doing anything in Photoshop for, let me see....two days ! :D

My attempt was to play around with the Relentless logo. To figure out what sort of typography they used i had to do some research online and believe me, it wasn't easy. There was only one place online that actually explained, that a third party had simply combined the logo from two different types of fonts, adding some extra splashes, hooks n' stuff all around.

If anyone is not familiar with the Relentless energy drink brad, here's the original logo:

I figured out that one of the words that look the best with this font is the word "rastafarian". So basically all the logotypes circumnavigate around this topic.

First one. Simple:

Second one. A bit more like the Soulfly:Prophecy cover:

Third one. A bit more developed. With a coptic cross behind the Lion of judah and surrounded by an amharic description of the beginnings of Ethiopia from Kebra Negast. On the far left Queen Sheba. Still looking for the right King Solomon so if anyone of you knows...;]
